Do you have something you'd like to ask, share or comment on?

Have you stitched one of Layden With Stitches's free patterns?

We'd love to hear from you.

I appreciate all comments and feedback. It's a very powerful tool. Constructive criticism can benefit all viewers.

Today I received a meesage from a viewer that stated, "There are alot of mistakes in your work". That was all she wrote in the subject line. There was nothing in the body of the message.

I can't help correct anything if I'm not directed  to any specific area.

I do feel the need to remind my viewers that I am also on a learning curve. The website is a work in progress just like my projects. The main intention is to inspire stitchers to try and create their own designs and share their accomplishments with other stitchers around the world on the "Stitcher's Gallery"

Layden With Stitches was started about 5 years ago as a place to store and share my links and tips for other needlecrafters looking for information on Photo to Cross-Stitching. I knew there were many stitchers, far more talented then me, out there searching too. Voila, a website is born.

No doubt there are many mistakes in my work. I'm quite flattered that someone has had the time to thoroughly look at it, but that is precisely why I ask you to leave comments. By pointing out errors, we help each other. So please, by all means, leave your comments, but be specific about the areas of your concern.

Sincerely,

Elaine Layden

Updates & Upkeep

April 12, 2009

Happy EasterHappy EasterWelcome to the BlogHappy Easter

I've decided to call the Blog updates & Upkeep.

Normally, I'm a pretty private person and censor everything so blogging will really be a challenge for me. I hope I don't bore everyone to death.

Today I saw that the number of people visiting the site was extremely low. I'm hoping that that is due to the fact that it is Easter Sunday and everyone is out doing whatever it is that makes Easter special to them. I wish everyone a very Happy Easter.

It's obvious that my passion is cross-stitching and sharing what I have learned with others, especially where photo coversion is concerned. I've recently seen some links to the site that please me immensely. That means that the photo to cross-stitching community is expanding and continuing to grow. The more we share-the more we learn and the easier it will be to see all the talent and awsome work being stitched all over the world that until the internet arrived, no one ever knew about.

Today's Link Find

MyPhotoStitch.com

I'm always happy to see a site that encourages stitchers to try creating their own designs, particularly if it's free.

I am trying to learn to be a better photographer but I have quickly realized that the more I learn about photography, the less I know. I share some of my photos on Webshots for people to use to enhance their hobbies in the hopes they will show me how they used something I made  and made it better. I've been told I'm talented but know there are so many others out there that see and create far far ahead of my little visions. I want to see that talent so hope it will come back to me so I can be enriched by their talent. Several days ago some of my photos where featured in the Photo of the Day in the Webshots Home & Garden section. The photo in particular was the Jellybeans photo.

I hope you like these photos and will leave me comment s here so I am encouraged to stetch my creativity and share with you.

Happy Easter & Happy Stitching
